The world’s largest underground trampoline opens at the Zip World theme park!

The Zip World Titan theme park is located in Northern Wales and is home to the world’s largest subterranean trampoline. The trampoline, which has the name of “Bounce Below”, is the latest attraction to the theme park, which is set underground in the Blaenau Ffestiniog slate cavern.
Bounce Below opens 4 July and tickets are £15 per person as an introductory offer for one hour of bouncing
. Tickets will then cost £20 per person.
The theme park is already home to the fastest and longest zip wire in the world along with the largest zip zone. The idea for the trampoline came from Sean Taylor, the commercial director of Zip World, who had seen a netted structure in a forest in France.
“The surreal experience of Bounce Below cannot be matched as there’s nothing like it anywhere else on earth,” says Taylor. “It’s essentially a ginormous underground playground and an amazing way to experience a subterranean world in a way never before possible. The best thing is you can do it all year round.”

Bounce Below is in a disused cavern of 100ft in depth and 200 by 60 feet, with the attraction comprising of three large trampolines. The trampolines are stretched across the mine walls and have been situated at differing heights. Slides of 60 feet in length, along with a spiral staircase and walkways, link the three trampolines together. The cave like structure of the mine is highlighted thanks to LED lighting which projects around the walls in different colours, giving everything a somewhat eerie yet beautiful look.

The underground trampolines were constructed with more than one kilometre of netting, which required around 4,500 man hours to complete the installation. They can hold as many as 100 visitors at a time; visitors are able to achieve bounces of as high as 80 feet into the air. Access to the attraction is via a mining train and visitors are required to wear safety equipment, including overalls and a helmet.
Zip World Titan offers a lot more fun by way of the zip lines. The zip lines take visitors over the moors, mountains and mine, on a journey that takes around 2 hours. In total there are more than 8km of cable, with visitors descending down the zip lines in teams made up of four. There are a total of three zip lines, with each being a short scenic walk from the next. The final zip line ride takes visitors to the Llechwedd Slate Caverns, home of the Bounce Below attraction.
