Edible mist, the invention we never even knew we wanted!

JCharlie Harry Francis and his lab, “Lick Me I’m Delicious”, are well known for their unusual experiments in the kitchen – in 2011 they became famous for creating a portable liquid-nitrogen-based ice cream machine.

The inventor is now drawing attention again to his quirky geniality thanks to his latest project, a machine that offers no less than 200 flavors of what can be considered “edible mist“.

The device, which seems to have come straight out of a science fiction movie produced in the 1950′s, uses ultrasonic vaporization to create a microscopic mist which you suck through a straw to consume. The machines can be booked and hired through their website and the flavors chosen by the custumers are just as curious as the machine itself. According to Charlie ‘It’s interesting to see how clients are using them, we’ve had bookings for minty palate cleansers, double flavor hits; strawberries and cream, bacon and chocolate and then clients who want to completely flavor theme their event with multiple funfair flavors like cotton candy, toffee apple and popcorn’.
As if the joy of eating it wasn’t enough, this ZERO calorie treat is perfect for all the fitness freaks out there and would definitely gain interest at any party.
The story behind Francis’ knack for building these contraptions originated growing up on an ice cream farm in South West Wales. The desire to develop machines capable of combining his parents’ skills resulted in the creation of many devices that create appetizing treats. On that list of eccentric edible inventions are the  Glow in the Dark Ice Cream and even Viagra Ice Cream.
